“Yeah, but you have to be real at the same time. We’re more from the blues in that sense. Gospel music is great, but the music we like has got an honesty and a grit. Rock and roll is a mixture of the blues as well as the gospel highness.”

I guess if I could tell people what I’m going for in my writing, it’s not to write “horror” or to write “love stories” or to write “Christian fiction.” Those are labels that mean a thousand different things to a thousand people. 

I’d love to quote this Bono line and tell them that what I’m going for is rock and roll.
