A Subtle & Creepy Film

Periodically I’m going to post movies on here which I find interesting. I’m not going to review them–we have enough people out there that review movies online. I’m simply going to spotlight them and say a few things about them.

Last night I rewatched Don’t Look Now, a creepy movie that came out in 1973. Fans of horror movies like Saw or others in that vein would surely find this slow-moving and dull. But having seen it twice now, I have to say that it is definitely eerie. The story is simplistic and does what most good horror movies do–it gives you an unsettled feeling that stays with you long afterward.
If you can get through the fact that it’s slow and that it was made in the 70’s, you might appreciate it. It definitely has a shocking, creepy ending. It’s all about mood and dread.
