We watch but don’t wait
We rush without further reading
We talk without hearing a thing
We type in total silence
We taunt in total secrecy
Stepping out is hard enough
Standing still even harder
Listening is a lost art
Online you can simply mute everyone else
Face to face is often a fantasy
A scene is simply one more soundbite for today
A post or share or like can’t sum up a soul
Beliefs can’t be tossed like grenades in hearts’ bunkers
They are shared in safety, heard side-by-side
